Find duplicate contacts

There are instances where contacts are duplicated, entered twice by errors, or were entered automatically while importing data. Sometimes, these mistakes are unavoidable. In order not to be confused on contacts with almost the same information, you can compare and select as well as update them in the system.

To find duplicate contacts

Click the List Contacts button in the main screen
In the List Contacts screen, click the Find Duplicates button
A pop-up window will then be displayed where you can choose from

The following are options for checking duplicates:

checks for possible duplicates based on the current contact against the whole database of contacts

checks for duplicates from the selected contacts against the whole database of contacts

checks for duplicates for the selected contacts also from the selected contacts. It will check if the selected contacts have duplicates with one another

sorts all the duplicates from your set of contacts in a way that they are located under the original contact from where they are duplicated once they are viewed in a list. (option available only in professional version)

when you select or sort duplicates, automatically once you display them on a list, the duplicates are highlighted with red. In the case where you don't want any highlight on them, you can clear them using the Clear Duplicate Highlite option. (option available only in professional version)

If you have recently cleared the highlights of the duplicates, you can still restore them using the Restore Duplicate Highlite button. Using this option, you don't have to select or sort for duplicates all over again in order to see the highlights on the duplicates when viewed on the list. (option available only in professional version)

checks for duplicates for the selected contacts also from the selected contacts. It will check if the selected contacts have duplicate URLs.

checks for duplicates from the selected contacts against the whole database of contacts with the same email address.

checks for duplicates for the selected contacts also from the selected contacts. It will check if the selected contacts have duplicate emails.
